The WEB Go Bible once available from www.mobible.be had serious errors of omission. Please refer to my post in http://jolon.org/vanillaforum/comments.php?DiscussionID=147
ADMIN EDIT: The downloads from the mobible site were withdrawn in July 2007.
Source text files for the ASV, WEB and HNWEB may be downloaded freely from http://ebible.org/
I recently exchanged emails with Kahunapule Michael Johnson. He encouraged us to freely make use of the available downloads. These are provided in several different file formats.
Given that Go Bible Creator can use either ThML or OSIS, the most suitable format to try first would be those described as XML Open Scriptural Information Standard (OSIS).
NB. It would be courteous to bring to his attention any Go Bible builds that you make from the files he has made freely available. Also, please mention them here in the Go Bible Forum. If you upload them to your own website or file sharing servers, please include the relevant URLs.
ASV files downloaded from other sources, such as CCEL and CScholar (ThML Reader), are not guaranteed to be the most up to date in terms of textual accuracy.
Even for the WEB and HNWEB, there is often a time lag between when files are updated at http://ebible.org/ and when derivative applications are posted elsewhere.
This is a general observation that affects many Bible translations which are available online.
Please always use the latest version of Go Bible Creator (which is currently 2.2.6).
If you find any previously unreported software bugs, please report them under the appropriate category of this forum. To check what has been reported already, please visit http://code.google.com/p/gobible/ and look under the issues tab.
The reduced search scope feature (radio button selectors) in Go Bible assumes the Western Canonical order for both OT and NT. For builds with a different book order, or with other than 66 books, the extra buttons are not displayed.
The Hebrew Names World English Bible (HNWEB) has a different order of OT books than the Western Canon. It uses the book order of the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). You can find further background information on this subject in Wikipedia.
I have just successfully made a Go Bible application for the WEB using as the source text a set of USFM files received today from Kahanapule Michael Johnson in PNG.
This is a red letter edition.
In my K750i phone, the curly quotes are not displayed correctly when either small or large font is selected in Preferences. This is due to inadequate font coverage in the SE firmware. They are displayed OK for medium font.
Until it is superseded by the new release, please use the latest version of Go Bible Creator (which is currently 2.3.6).
The build mentioned in the previous comment was actually made using the pre-release of version 2.4.0, currently being tested. I have sent a copy to Michael, but it will not be uploaded for general use until after v2.4.0 is released.
Could you also provide an installation version of the WEB 2010 Go Bible in 2 collections with each .jar file less than 1 MB WITH ONLY the ProtoCanonical books (66 books of the Protestant canon).

The WEB is public domain - you do not require permissions from us to make and distribute a Go Bible edition for this Bible version. As a matter of courtesy, you may like to inform Kahunapule Michael Johnson the webmaster of ebible.org
As you may have read already, I myself have posted the WEB as Go Bible apps here: http://www.box.net/shared/uefpqllskc
The JAD file in mine looks like this:
MIDlet-1: WEB 2010 Go Bible, Icon.png, GoBible MIDlet-Name: WEB 2010 Go Bible MIDlet-Icon: Icon.png MIDlet-Jar-Size: 1591370 MIDlet-Jar-URL: WEB2010.jar MIDlet-Info-URL: http://www.ebible.org/web/ MIDlet-Vendor: Michael Paul Johnson MIDlet-Version: 2.4.0 MIDlet-Data-Size: 100 MicroEdition-Profile: MIDP-2.0 Go-Bible-Info: The Holy Bible. Your differences are insubstantial.

You have been banned for multiple posting of the same comment. I have deleted all but one of those comments. Please don't act like a jerk in this forum or in any other forums.
Please stop multiple posting. It serves no purpose whatsoever. It's very annoying. In future, do not post comments in the wrong topic. Your request is unrelated to the World English Bible. You should have begun a new topic.
The NLT is a copyrighted Bible - so unless someone negotiates with the copyright owners, we cannot supply this as a Go Bible application.
